Bangladesh MP's Alleged Murder Near Kolkata: Honey Trap Angle Emerges

West Bengal Police have recovered crucial CCTV footage linked to an apartment near Kolkata where Bangladesh lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar was last seen before his alleged brutal killing. The footage shows two men with a green trolley bag and plastic packets, but it's unclear if it's from before or after the alleged murder.
Anar's body is feared to have been dismembered and disposed of, with police sources suggesting that it was chopped into pieces, skin peeled, and bones cut. The investigation has revealed that one of Anar's friends, Akhtaruzzaman Shahin, a US citizen, paid around Rs 5 crore to contract killers.
A woman, Shilasti Rahman, is under the scanner, and police suspect she lured Anar into the New Town flat where he was murdered. She is believed to have been detained by police in Dhaka. Bangladesh authorities have made three more arrests, but the motive behind the alleged murder is still unknown.
Jihad Hawladar, a 24-year-old Bangladeshi national, has been arrested from the bordering North 24-Paraganas district. He confessed to killing Anar with the help of four others and is suspected to have skinned the MP's body.
Anwarul Azim Anar, a member of the Awami League, was in West Bengal for medical treatment and was last seen in an apartment in New Town on May 13. The investigation suggests that he fell into a honey trap laid by Shilasti Rahman, who was close to his friend Shahin.
The case has taken a sensational turn with the emergence of the honey trap angle, and police are working to unravel the mystery behind the alleged murder of the Bangladesh lawmaker.
