"Hawaii Five-0" actor Taylor Wily dead at 56


 Taylor Wily, the charismatic actor who brought Kamekona Tupuola to life on "Hawaii Five-0," passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2024, at the age of 56. Wily's cause of death has not been officially disclosed by his family or representatives.

For ten seasons, Wily's portrayal of Kamekona, the quick-witted and resourceful confidential informant on the CBS reboot of "Hawaii Five-0," was a source of constant entertainment for viewers. 

 Kamekona's charm and resourcefulness, often displayed through his shaved head, Hawaiian shirts, and his iconic shrimp truck business, made him a fan favorite.

Tributes have poured in since the news of Wily's passing. His "Hawaii Five-0" co-stars, including Peter Lenkov, the show's executive producer, expressed their shock and grief on social media. 

 Lenkov, who also worked with Wily on other shows, called him "family" and stated he would be deeply missed. 

 Fans have also taken to social media to share their memories of Wily's endearing performance and comedic timing. Wily's absence will undoubtedly leave a void in the hearts of both his close circle and the fans who enjoyed his work.
