Mirra Andreeva stuns Aryna Sabalenka to reach French Open semifinals

Mirra Andreeva, a 17-year-old Russian tennis player, has made history by becoming the youngest Grand Slam semifinalist in over 25 years.

She achieved this feat by defeating No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka in the French Open quarterfinals. Andreeva, who is unseeded and ranked 38th in the world, will face No. 12 Jasmine Paolini in the semifinals.

Andreeva's victory over Sabalenka was a surprise to many, as Sabalenka was considered one of the favorites to win the tournament.
However, Andreeva's aggressive playing style and ability to adapt to different situations on the court proved to be too much for Sabalenka, who was struggling with a stomach illness.
Andreeva's success at such a young age is reminiscent of tennis greats like Martina Hingis and Monica Seles, who also achieved significant success at a young age.
Andreeva's coach, Conchita Martinez, believes that her player's maturity and ability to stay focused under pressure are key factors in her success.
In the other semifinal match, No. 1 Iga Swiatek will face No. 3 Coco Gauff, who has also been impressive in the tournament so far.
Gauff has reached the semifinals in both singles and doubles, and is considered one of the favorites to win the title.
The French Open has seen several upsets in the women's draw, with several top seeds being eliminated in the early rounds.
However, the tournament has also seen some exciting matches and unexpected victories, making it a thrilling event for tennis fans
