Rob's journey was a testament to resilience and unwavering determination in the face of adversity, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.


Rob Burrow, renowned for his remarkable career as number 7 for Leeds Rhinos, made a pivotal decision to disclose his MND diagnosis in late 2019, shedding light on the challenges faced by those battling this devastating illness. 

Despite the cruel progression of the disease, Rob chose to leverage his public platform to raise awareness about MND, becoming a beacon of hope for countless individuals and families affected by this condition.


Through powerful BBC documentaries and public engagements, Rob fearlessly shared his story, providing insight into the daily struggles of living with MND. His advocacy efforts transcended the world of sports as he actively campaigned for increased research funding and support for MND patients. 

Rob's commitment to the cause was unwavering, as evidenced by his groundbreaking initiatives, including using a communications aid on CBeebies and spearheading the United To End MND coalition to drive government investments in targeted MND research.
