Signed Manic Street Preachers Guitar and Tom Jones Tickets Up for Grabs at Charity Auction!

A signed Manic Street Preachers guitar and tickets to see Tom Jones and Bryan Adams are among more than 20 items available at a special charity auction.

The auction will be held at Llangollen Town Hall on Friday, June 14, aiming to raise funds for the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. This event precedes Bryan Adams' performance at the renowned Peace Festival.

Auction Highlights

  • Signed Manic Street Preachers Guitar: Autographed by the band during their 2017 Llangollen appearance.

The evening will feature a performance by Côr Daw, a unique Welsh choir known for their medleys of hits from Queen, Abba, Elton John, Michael Jackson, and Jersey Boys—all performed in Welsh. Côr DAW, which stands for Dysgwyr Ardal Wrecsam (Wrexham-area learners of Welsh), was formed by Pam Evans-Hughes in 2011. The choir has performed at notable venues such as Venue Cymru, Chester Cathedral, the Millenium Centre, Cardiff, and the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

All proceeds from the auction will support the Llangollen Eisteddfod’s charity, which facilitates the annual peace festival by bringing people from around the world to Llangollen.

Ian Lebbon, Chairman of the Eisteddfod’s Marketing Committee and the auctioneer for the evening, expressed his excitement: “This is our second-ever auction, and we can’t wait to hear the ladies from Côr DAW. They have made a huge name for themselves singing rock classics in Welsh. Star lots include a signed guitar by the Manic Street Preachers, tickets to some of the biggest concerts this year, and much more. All money raised will go towards our charity. It’ll be a great night and a brilliant start to our biggest-ever summer.”
