NORAD tracker monitors when Santa is arriving in Massachusetts

NORAD is once again tracking Santa Claus's Christmas Eve journey, allowing children and families to monitor his progress in real time.

Through NORAD's website, mobile apps, or by calling 1 (877) HI-NORAD, Santa's path can be followed interactively.

This tradition began over 68 years ago when a young girl accidentally called NORAD's operations center, and a colonel on staff played along as Santa. Since then, tracking Santa has become an annual holiday staple.

In Massachusetts, Santa received a special permit to fly over the state, granted by MassWildlife and Governor Maura Healey.

Healey highlighted the holiday season as a time of connection and joy, expressing excitement about welcoming Santa and his reindeer.
