Canada secured a dramatic victory over Namibia in a super over during their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 one-day international match in Windhoek, Namibia, on March 9, 2025. The match ended in a tie, forcing a super over, where Pargat Singh’s boundary sealed the win for Canada.

Namibia scored just three runs in their super over, with Canada needing four to win. Singh hit a four with three balls to spare, sparking celebrations for the Canadian team.

Earlier, Canada posted 167/8 in 39 overs, with opener Navneet Dhaliwal scoring 54 runs. Namibia, set a target of 175 via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method, tied the game on the final ball of their innings.

This victory moved Canada to second place in the League 2 standings with 19 points, behind the USA (22 points). The top four teams from the league will advance to the 2027 World Cup Qualifier.

Canada next faces the Netherlands on March 11 before a rematch with Namibia on March 15.
